Front of the Pack The One Reviews and Ingredient Breakdown

By Coty Perry

Front Of The Pack is a team of veterinarians, dog lovers, and biochemists who focus on producing products to help with pet nutrition and overall health.

The company sees that overall canine health is declining but for reasons that are not outside of our control. They believe it comes down to a lot of shady trends, false advertising, and placebos in the pet industry.

That’s the main reason why Front Of The Pack exists. Their goal is to produce a wide range of canine health supplements that actually help your pup live their best life. They throw pseudoscience out the window and embrace high standards in everything they do.

We scoured the internet to find Front of the Pack The One reviews and we believe that this is the most comprehensive and unbiased look into the product.

Things to Consider

You never want to pick something up off a shelf and start feeding it to your dog without careful consideration. Here are some of the most important factors to look at about Front Of The Pack The One.

Price

Price is an important factor because it goes hand-in-hand with sustainability. If you can’t afford to give your pup something consistently, you shouldn’t even start.

FOP The One offers multiple pricing options. Here they are:

  • 1 Pouch (60 scoops) – $39.99
  • 2 Pouches (120 scoops) – $71.98
  • 3 Pouches (180 scoops) – $101.97
  • 6 Pouches (360 scoops) – $191.94

So, the question is, how long will these last?

Dogs weighing less than 25lbs should receive one scoop per day so a single pouch will last approximately two months.

If your dog weighs 25-50lbs they should receive two scoops per day so you can cut that number in half.

Dogs weighing 50lbs or more receive three scoops per day so a pouch would last approximately 20 days.

Six Weeks to Wait for Results

According to FOP, it takes between 4-6 weeks for you to notice positive improvements. Many people may not want to wait that long and give their dog something for over a month when they don’t know what it’s doing.

The good news is, they have a great reputation and all the ingredients included in the formula are natural and relatively safe. It would be nice if they offered some type of trial where you could test it out for a month to see if you notice any changes.

Your Dog’s Age

The formula is only recommended on dogs older than one year of age. This is likely due to the testing that they’ve performed themselves. In the trials, they’ve likely tested their formula on dogs older than one so they only recommend it for dogs of that age. If you give it to a puppy would it hurt them? We’re not exactly sure but the company recommends against it.

Your Dog’s Health and Nutritional Needs

Above all else, it’s important that you keep your own dog’s nutritional needs in mind. Does it seem like they need a supplemental boost? Does your dog seem lethargic or uninterested in things they used to love? Have you ruled out other issues before turning to a dog supplement?

If not, maybe you’d want to consider getting your dog checked out first. Keep in mind that this formula is tested and produced by veterinarians so it could be the answer but it’s also important to rule out other issues first.

Features and Benefits of Front of the Pack The One

Now let’s take a look at some of the specific benefits and ingredients included in FOP The One.

The One Difference

The “One Difference” is a plethora of benefits the company claims your pet will experience after taking this supplement for six weeks. These benefits include:

  • Supports healthy joint function
  • Alleviated stress and anxiety
  • Promotes proper digestion and gut health
  • Soothing of itchy skin or allergies
  • Fresher breath
  • Enhanced mental sharpness
  • Promotes healthy immune response
  • Healthy heart function

Clinically Proven Ingredients

As pet owners, we spend a lot of time thinking about what goes into our dog’s food. The same rules should apply for pet supplements.

All the ingredients used in this supplement are non-generic and clinically proven to do what they say they’ll do. They partner with leading suppliers to ensure purity and traceability of the ingredients.

This is an important factor as well. A lot of ingredients used in pet foods are cut with lower quality ingredients.

The scientifically researched ingredients come from nature, are non-gmo, contain no artificial flavors or colors, are hypoallergenic, and pesticide free.

Here are some of the clinically proven ingredients:

Ashwagandha

This is an herb found in India and North Africa that helps reduce anxiety and regulate blood sugar. It’s included in the formula because it’s been used medicinally for centuries and has been improved over the past few decades.

Guar Gum

Guar gum has become an essential ingredient in many pet foods because it helps with healthy digestion and also improves the overall quality of pet foods. It is primarily used as a thickening agent which makes food more desirable for dogs.

Whole Antarctic Krill Meal

Krill are crustaceans found throughout the ocean. They’re rich in omega-3s and have a wide array of health benefits including reducing inflammation, improving coat health, and helping with heart function.

Green Tea Extract

Green tea is a popular ingredient that is rich in antioxidants. It’s used for oral and immune health. It’s included in the formula to help improve your dog’s breath.

L-Theanine

This amino acid is found in green tea and helps to improve the amount of happy hormones in your dog. This increases their serotonin and dopamine resulting in a happy but soothing dog.

Ingredient Features

All of the ingredients used in FOTP products come directly from nature, they do not contain artificial growth hormones, and they’re free of artificial flavors and colors.

This is important because artificial ingredients cause our dogs to become used to certain tastes and sensations that are not natural.

The ingredients are also hypoallergenic which means that they’re less likely to produce an allergy.

Scientific Evidence and Transparency

FOTP has more than 400 research publications verifying all the claims they’re making. You can find them all right here but we’ll take one as an example.

They tested L-Theanine on dogs with noise phobias. They noticed that when given to dogs there was a significant reduction in nervous panting alongside behavioral therapy. This test was performed alongside a test on dogs given just behavioral therapy. The full study is here

Sustainability

The company puts forth a lot of effort to help the environment and ensure they don’t leave a negative stamp on the world our pups play in.

Here are some of the things FOTP does to help the environment:

  • 100% recycled tins
  • Recycled card tubs
  • Compostable pouches
  • Bamboo measuring scoops
  • 90% recycled shipping process

Partnership with Best Friends Animal Society

Front Of The Pack also partners with the Best Friends Animal Society to help reduce the number of no-kill shelters. When you add a product to your cart you’ll select a shelter and they automatically send 1% of your total to the shelter.

Social Proof

One of the best ways to know you’ve found something that works is to check out what other people are saying about it. The company can tell you all they want but you’ll never know if they’re being truthful or not.

Seeing real reviews from actual people who tried something out with their pup and loved it is a sure-fire way to know it’s time to give it a try. We scoured the internet and found a couple of examples of happy pet parents.

Alternatives to the Front of the Pack One supplement

Here is one of the most popular alternatives to Front Of The Pack:

Pet Honesty Multivitamin

This product offers multivitamin chews in various flavors. They contain a lot of the same ingredients while also making much of the same claims. A single jar retails for $26.99 and contains 90 treats.

Pet Honesty is quite a bit cheaper than Front of the Pack but one of the major issues we see is that a lot of pet owners complain that their dogs will not eat the chewable snacks because they don’t like the taste.

Front of the Pack has a significant advantage because it can be incorporated into your dog’s current diet by simply sprinkling it over the top. Front of the Pack also has a lot more information on their website about the scientific evidence and testing behind their products.

  • Cheaper than Front of the pack
  • Soft chews versus powder
  • 10 vitamins and minerals per serving

Finn

Finn is another set of supplements that come with various options for different ailments your dog may have. They contain an array of digestive probiotics, calming aids, and multivitamins included in the formula.

Their sales pitch is that you can identify and read all their ingredients so you know everything you’re putting into your dog’s body. They also provide helpful dosing guides and information about how everything is tested and approved to provide the maximum benefits.

The main issue we have again is the fact that they come in soft chew tablets. A lot of pup parents say that they have a hard time getting their dog to eat these and being able to spread some powder over their existing food is a much better strategy.

  • More expensive than Front of the pack
  • Soft chews versus powder
  • Three different options based on your dogs needs

Conclusion

As a pet owner, you want to do everything you can to ensure your dog lives a long and happy life. Front Of The Pack The One is a great option because it’s backed by scientific evidence and it has a great reputation of not simply adding ingredients that do nothing for pet health. Every ingredient is meticulously considered and cared for.
